Network Services
Our Network Services Business provides network-related technical services to operators in selected markets. Currently, we have service operations in Germany, UK, Belgium and Finland, with focus on the leading operators at each country. The business unit has been developed through a mix of organic growth and focused acquisitions. Our offering consists of:
Network Upgrades: Teleste, through our daughter companies and through Cableway AG (a joint venture), now provides in-home installation services for the major cable operators in Germany, on a large scale. Over 300 of our own technicians, together with support from the partner companies, install Cable modems and upgrade house networks for the advanced triple-play service to be delivered to subscribers on a daily basis.The in-home installation services comprise:
- Coordination of the appointments with the tenant and the house owners
- Delivery of the equipment: outlets, splitters, cables, connectors, amplifiers, modems, routers etc.
- Installation work according to operator guidelines and industry standards.
- Measurement and documentation, including customer sign-off
Field Service: Alongside in-home installations, Teleste is carrying out field service activities as a partner for a number of operators and housing associations in Germany, both for access (NE3) and for distribution networks (NE4). Our services cover, among other things, the following aspects of the field services:
- Receiving the ticket from the customer or from the operator’s system
- Scheduling of appointments with the customers and reserving resources.
- Carrying out technical investigations on-site.
- Rectifying issues on-site.
- If necessary: arranging civil works, including obtaining the required permits from the municipalities, temporary road arrangements etc.
- Reporting back to the customer.
Projects: Teleste is a trusted partner for many housing associations and operators, offering them reliable installation services for house network upgrades and extensions. Our team leaders and project managers carry out site surveys and provide reliable estimates of installation requirements. Experienced installation teams ensure a rapid implementation phase and polite co-operation with tenants, making sure that nobody will miss their favourite show or football match in the evening.
Our project implementations are not limited to house network upgrades only, all coax and fibre projects can be implemented. Our recent references include a number of FttX-sites completed by both our own civil works teams and with experienced partners as part of the project team.

Network Planning and Technical Management Services:
We help our customers solve one of the key challenges in launching new services and extending or upgrading their service delivery platform: availability of skilled and qualified personnel. Teleste is well placed to provide operators with the resources they need to carry out any network detailed design on time, to meet the schedule for power cabinet upgrades or to relocate their regional headend sites.
Our references range from conceptual pre-studies and feasibility studies of complete play-out centres to detailed network design, from fibre node to the wall outlet. We currently employ over 70 persons who work directly with customer network planning projects and technical work-stream management projects. After our latest acquisitions, we have our own strong teams in Germany with extensive experience in the local networks. Our technical project management and network planning professionals are experienced in areas, including, for example:
