Teleste at Balkan Broadband Conference and Exhibition

The second international Balkan Broadband Conference and Exhibition takes place In Skopje, Macedonia on 8th April 2010. The event is organised by SCTE, The Society for Broadband Professionals, an international non-profit organisation with the aim at raising the standard of broadband engineering in the telecommunications industry. Its first event, held in March 2009 in Kosovo, attracted 192 visitors from 17 countries and got lots of publicity in the local media. According to SCTE, the Western Balkan market is one of the most exciting emerging markets in Central Europe with its 25 million closely linked inhabitants in 8 countries. The consolidating markets are well supported by known players.

This year, the conference offers high level keynote speakers sharing their vision with the audience. As a platinum sponsor, Teleste attends the conference under the theme: “Technical considerations in access networks evolution”. In his keynote speech, Pasi Järvenpää, Director of HFC - Access Networks Teleste, discusses the known issues related to deployment of access networks and illustrates what kind of solutions could be adopted to fix or avoid the problems.

On the exhibition floors, the visitors have the opportunity to meet representatives of the international brands and to attend to unique break-out training sessions to gain latest knowledge about technologies. Teleste is delighted to participate in an afternoon workshop under title “Teleste Luminato - creation and operation of digital TV services”, presented by Velimir Godec, VP Sales CEE region.
