CFO First Mile multichannel video links (MMF & SMF)
For installations with a high number of CCTV cameras a cost effective fiber transmission is achieved by CFO First Mile four (4) or eight (8) channel video multiplexers. These multichannel video modems are designed to carry realtime and lossless video to distances up to tens of kilometres in a single mode fibre. In a multimode fibre the maximum transmission distance is specified between 550 and 2000 meters depending on the modem model (and available fibre bandwidth).
In addition to baseband video (composite or Super-video) such additional features as PTZ control data, audio communication and contact closure operation are also well supported. The latest designs extend the system operability to cope well with all IP communication needs by providing a built-in 100 Mbps Ethernet Bridge. In most enhanced products the device management/configuration is remotely accessible over TCP/IP including support for SNMP as well. Alternatively a local device access is available via serial RS232 interface.
The CFO units in a 3U high rack card format are suitable both for rack mounting as well as for standalone installations by using dedicated module adaptors. The CFO products can be mixed and matched with all type of CFO installations and they provide excellent value for security and surveillance applications excellent value for systems requiring reliability and long-life span operation within security and surveillance applications.
