CFO OP-X Platform for CWDM optical multiplexing

The CFO OP-X series utilises Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technology and is capable of transmitting 64 realtime and lossless composite video signals together with additional bi-directional audio, data, contact closure and Fast Ethernet sub-channels on one shared singlemode fibre for up to tens of kilometers. System supports versatile topologies such as point-to-point, add&drop and redundant ring. The optical passive backbone is also compatible with the leagcy 1310 nm optical systems. The selected operational wavelenghts in use are between 1470 and 1610 nm (20 nm apart, ITU standard).

The modular construction concept allows systems to be built or expanded in a simple way. The core modules are the same type 4/8-ch video modems like in First Mile series, now however with CWDM optics. System management is enabled by allowing unit access over TCP/IP. SNMP is available for 3rd party management systems. There are several module types available depending on the requirements of the total complete transmission system (passive backbone add/drops and mux/demuxs as well as optical repeaters and switches).
