Optimal for home installations
FTTH - Singlemode - 2-4 fibres subscriber distribution cable is commonly used to interconnect the customer gateway/outlet and the Teleste fibre interface box. The cable is white and unlabelled which makes it an optimal choice for use in modern and contemporary homes.
Our factory terminated connectors are inspected and measured after polishing. Likewise we always measure the insertion loss (IL) and the return loss (RL) which are documented and included in individual measurement report provided with each manufactured assembly. In the transition between the jacket and the stripped fibres, an effective bend/strain relief design is fitted to protect the cable from tight bends and fatigue loading. The cable incorporates Corning® ClearCurve® LBL optical fibre, a full-spectrum fibre with enhanced macrobend performance compared to traditional improved bend singlemode fibres.
By default, high-quality SC-UPC/APC or LC-UPC connectors are terminated in one end. Other connector configurations can also be supplied, e.g. assemblies having connectors terminated in both ends. The cable consists of 2 or 4 fibres, 0.9 mm, and is available in different lengths. The connector terminated cable end is stripped, providing a stripped length of 30 cm for coiling of the fibres in gateways and outlets.
