High-speed Internet access and IPTV services via existing TV cabling
With the growing popularity of streaming video services like Internet TV, consumers today demand very high bandwidth and fibre-level connections to their homes. Bringing fibre connections to individual homes would solve the problem, but this is far too expensive to be economically viable in many older residential properties and, e.g. hotels. Therefore, we have developed new broadband data products that provide high speed Internet access and IPTV services to customers over coaxial cabling. Since many residential buildings feature coaxial TV wiring, consolidating broadband services to the TV network can bring significant cost savings for operators and service providers compared to building new fibre all the way.
Agile network upgrades via distributed access architecture
Teleste's DOCSIS Access Hub, DAH, is a product that enables providing high-speed data, IPTV and OTT over last mile coax to customers at hotels and residential properties. Based on distributed access architecture, it reduces the need for expensive headend investments and makes the solution cost-effective and agile way to upgrade network capacity. One DAH can serve all customers in a typical apartment building, providing them with sufficient broadband speeds to receive any video streaming services.
