Solutions for delivery of HDTV and HSIA over existing COAX infrastructure
At Integrated Systems Europe we highlighed our hospitality portfolio that provides innovative, easy-to-use solutions for CATV and IPTV delivery and cost-effective choices for utilizing the existing in-room coaxial cabling to bring High Speed Internet Access and Wi-Fi to guest rooms without any heavy installation work.
The solution is based on DOCSIS Access Hub (DAH) and Luminato. DAH allows introducing CMTS equipment inside buildings and offers a cost-efficient, agile way to upgrade network capacity and bring high-speed internet to every room for diverse online video services and applications. Using coaxial cable for room broadband access ensures the high streaming bitrates and error free transmission necessary for video and IPTV services. With a Wi-Fi enabled cable modem in hotel room the guests can enjoy a rich media experience also on their own devices.
The Luminato headend platform provides a cost-effective and efficient solution for live content processing from satellite, cable and local IP sources; it descrambles and transmits the signal through the coaxial cable to the hotel TV services. A single fully equipped Luminato can manage hundreds of free-to-air and pay TV channels with electronic program guide (EPG) and consumes less than 100 watts of power and creates practically no heat. The intuitive user interface makes the management of Luminato effortless as everything is visible in a single graphical view.
As a part of our solution, we also showcased cable modems from Compal and Ruckus, as well as AV products from our partners ZeeVee, PureLink & Niveo.
