Teleste’s intelligent deep fibre node AC8700 has been announced as the winner of the best overall submission and SCTE 2013 Technological Innovation of the Year Award. The AC8700 was also the category winner of the shortlist ‘Best broadband network transmission solution’.
The AC8700 is part of Teleste’s intelligent networks concept that strives for running networks in the most efficient manner by cutting down operating costs and yet securing service quality. The AC8700 offers best-of-breed functionality for increasing data and video services distributed within HFC networks, and represents the state of the art innovation in the cable industry. The SCTE 2013 Award gives recognition to the high quality of the product as well as the importance of answering the industry’s challenges with technological development.
The SCTE (Society for Broadband Professionals) confirmed the winners of its 2013 Awards for Technological Innovation on 23 March in London. The SCTE is a Learned Society and non-profit making organisation whose aim is to raise the standard of broadband engineering in the telecommunications industry.
