TELESTE CONTINUES AS THE LEADING FIBRE OPTICS PROVIDER IN FRENCH CABLE NETWORK
MARKETS

The Altice Group confirms its confidence in Teleste and signs extension to the
previous frame agreement published on May 20, 2005 concerning the FTTLA
deliveries (Fiber to the Last Amplifier) in France. This new extended part of
the agreement is worth 23 million euros.

The project concerns the French networks of former UPC France/Noos recently
acquired by the Altice Group. The networks will be upgraded in the coming three
years towards FTTLA architecture, in which the subscribers will be connected
directly to a fiber node. This will increase the available capacity and
reliability of the network to support the roll out of triple play services. In
addition it enables the deployment of broadband data connections to be increased
towards 100 Mbit/s. Teleste will supply its High Density Optics range (HDO) and
its AC800 FTTLA nodes with Plug & Play application. The upgrades will start in
Paris and other major cities in France in the beginning of 2007.

During the last two years the Altice Group has acquired the cable networks of
France Telecom Cable, NC Numericable, TDF and UPC France/Noos covering now 95
per cent of the cable networks in France with the total of nine million homes
passed.

Teleste is an international technology group founded in 1954, which is
specialized in broadband data communication systems and solutions. The group is
divided into two Strategic Business Units: Broadband Cable Networks and Video
Networks. Broadband Cable Networks serves cable operators and a major part of
its business activities are handled through direct customer contact. Video
Networks supplies solutions for optical signal transmission and video network
management software solutions for video surveillance and a major part of its
business is handled through system integrators. Both Business Units are among
the leading providers in their market areas and are globally recognized for
their know-how and ability to produce technically cutting edge solutions year
after year. In 2005 the group's net sales in continuing business totalled EUR
82.6 million and the group employed 557 persons at the year-end. The company has
approximately 30 offices world-wide. Close to 90% of Teleste's net sales are
generated outside Finland. The company is listed on the main list of Helsinki
Exchanges. Visit www.teleste.com for more information.
