Teleste Luminato receivers provide best of breed receiving platform for Cable TV and IPTV operators. The receivers enable flexible selection of free-to-air and scrambled services from DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2 and DVB-C sources, which can be adjusted to the operator’s service line-up with the built-in advanced transport stream processing capabilities. The output of the receiver is always fully DVB compatible IP streams – complete with automatically generated PSI/SI streams suitable for cable TV, IPTV and OTT operators.
Vast amount of services in 1 RU
Luminato satellite receivers are available as quad-receiver model or dual-receiver model. All Luminato module slots furnished with quad-receivers enable having up to 24 receivers in one RU chassis. As one receiver can process up to four Multi-Program Transport Streams (MPTS) per module, the amount of received services can be vast. This increases efficiency and lowers headend investments dramatically.
Descrambling and scrambling built-in
All Luminato dual-receiver models are equipped with DVB Common Interface module slots for descrambling DVB services. The optional descrambling uses DVB Common Interface modules flexibly supporting large variety of Conditional Access Systems. Further, each receiver - dual and quad - has the optional capability to do DVB Common Scrambling Algorithm content protection. The embedded scrambling doesn’t require any additional hardware and the user can freely select which services will be scrambled.
Teleste DVX platform is a complete analogue headend platform which comprises both satellite and terrestrial receivers. Satellite receiver DVD922 and terrestrial receiver DVD952 are both Integrated Receiver Decoders which can be used for receiving of free-to-air and scrambled DVB services. Both receiver types are supporting the migration from MPEG2 to MPEG4 AVC and seamless transition from SD to HD picture quality.
