The modular structure makes it possible to apply the technology for needs of individual products, subsystems or comprehensive on-board solution. Passenger Information System (PIS)
Our passenger information system is based on modular software architecture, which makes it possible to use the system technology for different kind of applications. The automated functionalities based on vehicle location are completed with Public Address and Display subsystems. HMI can be used to control the passenger information system manually. The open architecture secures interoperability with any city or nationwide systems and fluent train-to-ground communications are enabled by our Connectivity solutions. Through the Railway API, the system can take commands from external source.
The Public Address subsystem conveys automatic announcements and live messages - audio and text - for passengers. High system availability and TSI compliance are achieved by combining analog and digital technologies with IP based networks and UIC bus.
The Intercommunication subsystem facilitates phones, microphones and passenger intercoms, with the ruggedized design. To secure flexible and undisturbed operations we use redundant Ethernet and UIC bus technologies. In addition to traditional train radio interfaces, our Intercommunications system can use VoIP technologies to be integrated with Operational Control Center and other communication systems.
A variety of display solutions based on modern TFT LCD and LED technologies enables enjoyable travel experience for passengers. Our in-depth know-how of display technologies makes it possible to optimize the balance with rich features and ultimate competitiveness.
Our integrated Infotainment subsystem provides versatile integration of news, advertising, entertainment and other information to our passenger information solution. The information can be streamed from external sources or triggered from a local media database. The solution supports a wide range of video and audio formats.
The fully digital CCTV subsystem enables effective and easy security control. A video recorder stores video streams from surveillance IP cameras in the vehicle. The live streams can be viewed on user interfaces from interior cameras, rearview cameras and even cameras installed on the wayside. The video streams are complemented with metadata from various sources and events, like emergency calls or brakes, to enable effective situational analysis. Utilising Connectivity solutions, the live streams and recordings can be viewed also from wayside applications - such as OCC - and off-loaded to the storages on the ground servers. High data security is achieved by digital water stamping, encryption and tight access control. The easy-to-use back office tools provide versatile functionality for the analysis of the recordings.
Our IP-based system allows easy connectivity between devices and systems. A wide range of network components with dynamic IP addressing provides reliable communication within the vehicle. Various wireless solutions are used for on-board Wi-Fi, train-to-train and train-to-ground communications.
