Video management system (VMS)
Teleste’s on-board video management system uses environmentally hardened IP network video recording solution specifically designed for trains, metros, trams and buses.
Our Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) cameras can be located conveniently to cover all passenger areas, including all exit and access doors. Typical are cameras are based on 360 degree viewing angle lenses and are supported by high definition image sensors.
Additional information can be collected via different types of optical, infrared and radar sensors that are used for e.g. motion detection. The on-board system supports also 24/7 video recording and storage of video recordings into on-board mobile Network Video Recorders (mNVRs).
Passenger Information System (PIS)
The PIS system consists of on-board PIS manager that obtains information and updates from the PIS at the station. The information is then delivered via several types of displays and a public address system with latest technology in amplifiers, microphones and speakers.
Entertainment/ Infotainment management
Entertainment and infotainment management includes different options for providing your passengers with IP based live entertainment and timely information wirelessly or through cable network. The system can easily be controlled via touch-screen user interface. Our state-of-the-art TFT, LCD and LED displays enable the enjoyment of video entertainment with superb quality, and the digital headphone panels allow easy selection of different entertainment channels.
Passenger wi-fi: Passengers today expect the same level of connectivity both at home an on the go. Adopting on-board wi-fi systems allows you to offer your passengers free or paid-for Internet access from their smartphones, tablets and laptops, and thus enhance their passenger experience.
Passenger counting: Fully automised passenger counting systems provide reliable data on raidership, and help you optimize your services and transportation capacity.
Ticketing management: Supporting dynamic pricing, efficient on-board ticketing systems guarantee reliable, real-time seat reservation information and successful ticket sales in rail cars.
Emergency alarm system: The emergency alarm system is used to deliver emergency alerts and information to the passengers via on-board displays and announcements upon an emergency. Emergency alerts can be activated e.g via passenger help points and emergency phone systems can be integrated as part of the video management system and directly connected to the operation control center at the station.
Train control management systems (TCMS): TCMS system helps you in monitoring, control and automation of the rail cars and physical on-board infrastructure. It provides common network to the train subsystems from ventilation and door locks to locomotive control and wireless diagnostics.
Interfaces to station systems utilizing fixed and wireless telecom networks: Teleste’s error resilient and patent-pending wireless offload solution allows fast and robust transfer of recorded video data from on-board to VMS systems located in stations. Read more about the solution.
