Teleste Supply Chain: Global Scale Meets Local Responsiveness
As Teleste accelerates its expansion in North America, we are further improving a supply chain that delivers both global scale and local agility — designed to meet the requirements of North American cable MSOs.
Our operations strategy is rooted in three pillars of scalability and flexibility, ensuring world-class customer service capabilities and operational excellence:
1) Smart Factory in Finland as a Competence Center: Speed, Innovation and Quality
At the heart of Teleste’s innovation is our smart factory at our headquarters based in Finland. This facility integrates R&D, global sourcing, and modern manufacturing under one roof, enabling:
- Fast time-to-market through efficient New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Excellence (DfX) processes.
- Seamless transitions to high-volume manufacturing centers close to the main markets.
- Continued support for our valued EU and global customers with low-volume, high-complexity production needs
2) EMS Partnerships: Scalable, Risk-Resilient Manufacturing
To support rapid growth and deliver agile Customer service, Teleste has built multiple strategic Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) partnerships. By combining our Smart Factory concept with our EMS partnerships, we achieve economies of scale while maintaining a strong local presence. In addition to these benefits, the same quality processes and operational excellence standards are consistently followed at our EMS partnerships:
- In Europe, multi-site EMS partners enhance capacity and provide backup and scale for Littoinen operations.
- In Mexico, our EMS partner is ramping up the high-volume ICON product family (DOCSIS 4.0 Broadband Networks Amplifiers) manufacturing to the North America based key accounts, enabling:
– Immediate capacity of 30,000–40,000 amplifiers per month, and
– Short lead times and agile Customer Service.
3) North America Assembly Capabilities: Agile Service, Local Customization
To further boost responsiveness, Teleste has implemented assembly capabilities at its New Jersey distribution center. This allows us to:
- Deliver large volumes of Customer tailored products from global sites.
- Perform customer-specific configurations locally, reducing lead times and enhancing service agility.
Smart Factory Concept: Lean, Standardized, Scalable
Our smart factory model is built on standardized manufacturing system, our cells are equipped with MES and ANDON systems. These cells:
- Are refined through robust LEAN processes to eliminate waste and inefficiencies.
- Cells can be duplicated at EMS sites to ensure consistent quality, performance, and traceability across all locations. In a way EMS partner is an extension of Teleste’s “arm”, just close to the Customer.
Teleste’s supply chain is not just about meeting the demand — it’s about exceeding expectations. By combining global scale with local responsiveness, we’re ready to support our customers in the North America and beyond with unmatched speed, flexibility, and service excellence. Over the years, Teleste has delivered hundreds of thousands of high-quality network products, each produced through our industry-leading supply chain model. This proven approach consistently ensures reliability and excellence.
