IP/Ethernet functionality in CFO mechanics

The CFO product family is also able to support system migrations to reach a full IP operability. CRG100 and CRG101 media converters are compatible with all CFO series mechanical installation schemes. On an existing CFO system, an analogue video modem card can be easily replaced with a CRG series card unit when new IP cameras are deployed. Together with a new fibre patch cord the existing main installation cabling can be utilized.

Managed and unmanaged choices

The CRG101 is a smart and managed media converter. The device settings are in reach over a web user interface. In addition, the unit has SNMP support. The diagnostics is extensive, also locally on device front panel LEDs. For optical operation, both Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet SFP transceivers are applicable.

Easy configuration

For simple use and fixed Gigabit operation, a good choice is the CRG100 series media converter. The device configuration is easy, with a few basic settings over DIP switches. The most important diagnostics information is presented on device LEDs. Both the electrical and optical SFP interface supports only the Gigabit Ethernet rate (1000Base-TX/FX).

CRG101 and CRG100 can be used together in mix-and-match fashion when the link data rate is defined as Gigabit Ethernet and compatible SFP optics are used.
